All forty of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books will be re-recorded, to be released over the next two years.
And you don’t have to be an audiobook aficionado to recognize some of the narrators.
Actors Bill Nighy and Andy Serkis and actresses Sian Clifford and Indira Varma are among the first narrators to be announced, reports the Guardian.
Numbers of note: The effort will require almost 150 days in the studio so that almost 4 million words can be read, in the course of recording more than 400 hours of finished audio.
The project was announced in conjunction with the fiftieth anniversary of Pratchett's literary debut and represents a more contemporary take on some of the older works, according to a Penguin Random House executive involved with it.
