Novelist Anne Rice, well-known for her gothic novels including Interview with the Vampire, died over the weekend.
For those who missed the news, there’s no shortage of obituaries, including from our favorite sources: NPR and the Guardian.
And those who caught the news when it broke can still indulge in plenty of Rice nostalgia.
Literary Hub rounded up her best writing advice, while Rolling Stone shared an extended version of its 1995 interview with her.
The Washington Post noted that other vampire lovers (both readers and authors) owe Rice an enormous debt ... unless they were among the fan-fiction writers who felt Rice's legal wrath over using her characters.
Rice died December 11 at age eighty.
