We're nearing the end of an era: the PBS Kids TV show Arthur will begin its twenty-fifth and final season next month.

NPR's Elizabeth Blair spoke with author Marc Brown, whose books inspired the iconic show, and Carol Greenwald, who has served as executive producer for the show, about the enduring appeal of Arthur the aardvark and his motley crew of friends and family.

(Brown also reflects on that in a new book, Believe In Yourself: What We Learned from Arthur.)

You can read an article about Arthur's legacy on NPR's website or listen to their conversation below.
