Renaissance man John Waters has another line for his resume.

The director of Hairspray (among other films), actor, and visual artist is also a best-selling writer who has just now gone from nonfiction to fiction.

Liarmouth: A Feel-Bad Romance — Waters's first novel — came out today.

It's the story of Marsha Sprinkle, whose nickname lends the novel its name, and the one man who forces this scam artist to tell the truth.

You can read an excerpt of Liarmouth at Literary Hub.
