It's an especially sad day for anyone who loves Wonder Woman.
NPR reports that George Pérez, a comic book artist who rebooted that character, has passed away at the age of sixty-seven.
In addition to shaping the Wonder Woman we know today, Pérez co-created The New Teen Titans at DC Comics in 1980 and drew The Avengers for Marvel Comics.
You can read more about his career and the emotion he inspired in his fans in NPR's obituary.
