This past weekend — Saturday, June 25, to be exact — marked the seventy-fifth anniversary of the release of Anne Frank's diary.

So the Anne Frank Trust, a charity that teaches young people to challenge prejudice, commissioned a poem in honor of the The Diary of a Young Girl author.

Michael Rosen's "Sonnet for Anne Frank" is available for all to read in the Guardian.

Rosen's selection is a natural one; in addition to his years of support for the Anne Frank Trust, he's the author of a book tracing his Holocaust-victim relatives, titled The Missing: The True Story of My Family in World War II.
