Of course the prequel to the Hunger Games trilogy — itself a smash movie series — will become a film.

Vanity Fair has an exclusive first image from the adaptation of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, set some sixty-plus years before Suzanne Collins's original trilogy takes place.

Tom Blyth will play the young Coriolanus Snow, who has become president by the time we meet Katniss Everdeen, while Lucy Gray Baird will be played by Rachel Zegler.

Dr. Volumnia Gaul receives the star treatment: Viola Davis brings her to life.
