The table of contents isn't exactly what most people expect to be an exciting preview of a book.

But it is, in the case of legendary musician (and Nobel laureate) Bob Dylan's The Philosophy of Modern Song.

The November 1 release will contain "appreciations" of sixty-six songs, all of which are listed in the table of contents.

Variety is among the news outlets that have rounded up the complete list and added a bit of commentary and speculation about select choices.
