Rebecca Solnit, fairly fresh off critical acclaim for her nonfiction accounting of George Orwell the gardener, has a new work coming out.

Waking Beauty, which releases next week, is an upending of the fairytale of Sleeping Beauty.

It follows Maya, the sister who stayed awake, and her "great adventures."
