Last year, in honor of Valentine's Day, Literary Hub took a look back at a bookish trend from the fifteenth century.

And that would be ... heart-shaped books.

Yes, surprisingly, there was a non-zero number of such texts, mostly before automations in printing made nontraditional shapes less desirable.

Lit Hub's quick history of the heart-shaped book concludes with links to extra (interesting) reading on the evolution of the heart (both the organ and the ship) as a symbol of love.
