Professor Patricia Prijatel, like anyone who goes online, sees a lot of memes.

One stuck out to her recently — and stuck in her craw a bit, too.

It said: "I don’t think I could be friends with anybody who doesn’t read books."

As an avid reader, Prijatel certainly loves talking about books whenever she has the opportunity — and has a social circle that does offer said opportunity.

But that said, she certainly understands that not everyone is a reader, nor are all readers inherently destined to be a perfect friendship match for her.
