Here's the 2023 longlist for the National Book Award for Fiction

The longlist for the National Book Award for Fiction came out today.

Out of almost five hundred submissions, these ten remain under consideration.

Finalists for all categories — the other four being poetry, young people's literature, translated literature, and nonfiction — will be announced October 3, and the winners will be revealed November 15.

• Blackouts by Justin Torres

• Holler, Child by LaToya Watkins
