Deep dives into "Dune"

The literary media has been inspired by the movie Dune: Part Two to take deep dives into ... well ... the inspiration for Frank Herbert's novels.

Reporter Justine Paradis visited the dunes that served as the launchpad for Herbert's imagination, in this excerpt from the Outside/In podcast.

And Slate's Haley Weiss examines whether the sandworms in Dune are really worms (not for the squeamish readers).
