Literary Hub had two excerpts from May 14 releases to share.
One, fittingly for May, is a short story from a collection; "Shoebox World" comes from Honor Levy's new collection, My First Book.
The other is Blue Ruin by Haro Kunzru.
The passage from Blue Ruin takes us to the moment in which Jay, an artist-turned-grocery delivery worker living in his car, makes the fateful attempt to bring items to what turns out to be his former lover and her new partner's property.
