The novel follows sisters Mia, a bright young girl called to a caregiving position from an early age, and Cricket, a talented soccer player, as they face tough decisions on what they can abandon in pursuit of their dreams.
Jenna Bush Hager picked Happy Wife by Meredith Lavender and Kendall Shores.
The book takes place in a wealthy Florida community, where the scandal over middle-aged lawyer Will marrying 20something Nora is only surpassed by the drama when Will disappears the morning after a birthday party his young wife threw for him.
Good Morning America chose The Compound by Aisling Rawle.
The story imagines a reality TV show set in a remote desert island compound; Lily, our protagonist, is young and bored, so at first the challenge is good fun ... but of course, the simple task of outlasting the nineteen other contestants becomes drastically darker as time goes on.
