Check out these updates on books — and book-inspired entertainment — that are coming readers' way soon.

  • A volume combining Seamus Heaney's twelve poetry collections, plus poems published elsewhere and twenty-five unpublished works, is coming out tomorrow; you can read one never-before-shared poem, "Chair, Pocket Knife, Guitar," in a preview of The Poems of Seamus Heaney (The Guardian).

  • Watch the trailer for the upcoming Netflix movie The Twits, which is a new story inspired by the Roald Dahl characters; the animated film, including the voices of Margo Martindale, Natalie Portman, and Emilia Clarke, comes out October 17 (YouTube).

  • Colleen Hoover says her next novel — Woman Down, coming out January 13 — will be one of the darkest books she's written so far (TODAY).

  • Liza Minnelli has revealed the cover of her memoir, Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!, which comes out March 10 (People).

  • John Grisham's next book — coming out June 9 — will be a work of nonfiction; Shaken: The Rush To Execute an Innocent Man is the story of Robert Roberson, who is scheduled to be executed for the death of his two-year-old daughter on October 16 (Kirkus Reviews).

  • For the first time, there will be a Moomin movie produced in the US; Rebecca Sugar of Steven Universe fame will direct and write, while Julia Pistor, who worked on various SpongeBob SquarePants and Rugrats movies, will produce (Variety).
