Amazon released a statement on Monday explaining how it measures pages read, which is important for authors in Kindle Direct Publishing. 

But The Digital Reader pointed out a huge problem with its announcement: There is no standard page size.

Several writers shared their experiences with minor formatting tweaks resulting in large page-count discrepancies.
