George Saunders on outlining, or the lack thereof

Author George Saunders, noted for both his short-form and longer works, explains his stance on outlining in a short video for Writer’s Digest.

Saunders is a former MacArthur Genius Fellow and won the 2017 Man Booker Prize for Lincoln in the Bardo, his first full-length fiction piece.

Previously, he wrote both fiction and nonfiction regularly for The New Yorker and also published a best-selling short-story collection.
