We found a post explaining how to prove you’ve been plagiarized ... and of course, we received official permission and will cite appropriately!
Jonathan Bailey, who founded the website Plagiarism Today, cautions that “proving you are a victim of plagiarism, enough to convince a court of law, is extremely difficult.”
But the good news is he has provided a checklist that will help you decide whether to make accusations or file a lawsuit.
According to Bailey, they are to:
1. Prove your idea/work is original.
2. Show what was copied can be protected.
3. Show the plagiarist had access.
4. Prove that it’s copied.
5. Prove it lacks attribution.
