Ireland (rightly) is taking pride in its investment in its library system.
The Irish Times points out that while other countries are reducing services, Irish libraries are extending hours, eliminating fines, and acquiring a wide variety of technology for their branches.
And thank goodness for that, the paper writes, because these libraries are literal lifelines for countless people.
