Author Ellen L. Buikema discovered recently that Amazon is rolling out the option to add videos to a book’s page.

She wrote a tutorial post for the feature on Indies Unlimited (for those who, like her, don’t have the best relationship with technology).

You can also check out the website’s resources for book trailers if you’re not among the authors seeing the video option yet.

I tried posting a video trailer for Midwife of Normandy on my Amazon author page. Instead of a thumbnail, it showed a black box. After several conversations with customer service reps, I had to send them a jpg photo thumbnail which they finally used to replace the black box. Still, the video itself is jerky and "circles " in spots. A shame because it plays perfectly on YouTube.
