You’ve invented characters, helped them conquer (some of) the obstacles you threw at them, developed their entire world ... and now you have to sum up those thousands of words in a pithy and attention-grabbing title.

No pressure, right?

Betty Kelly Sargent, the founder and CEO of BookWorks, encourages indie authors to follow the advice of writer Walker Percy: “A good title should be like a good metaphor; it should intrigue without being too obvious.”
