“These are the days after. Everything is now measured by after.”

– from Falling Man by Don DeLillo

Today, of course, is the anniversary of one of the most tragic days in American history.

As we do on many significant days, we’re offering a few book lists to mark the occasion.

One such list comes from Books on the Wall, which also includes a discussion about the role literature plays in processing events like the September 11 attacks.

Its best-of list doesn’t actually overlap much with The Culture Trip’s top eight novels written in response to 9/11, so we’d recommend checking both out.

And if you’re needing to provide themed reading material for younger readers, BookRiot has a selection for varying ages as well.

Please feel free to add your own recommendations in the comments.
