Martin Dorey believes so passionately in reducing the amount of plastic we use that he wrote an entire book about it.

So to say he was upset to learn that his U.S. distributor had shrink-wrapped copies of it would be the understatement of the year.

Upon finding No. More. Plastic’s incredibly inappropriate packaging, Dorey posted on Instagram:

“So here’s my book. We toiled hard on this. We worked with the printer to make it one of the UK’s most environmentally [friendly] books this year.

“And then this. It’s an absolute shambles, undoes all our hard work and proves, once again, that we are using plastic with our eyes closed. We are sleepwalking into oblivion.”

Dorey told the website i that his publisher, Penguin, has been working to find out who is responsible for the shrink-wrapping.
