Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Mary Oliver died today at age eighty-three.

The cause of death was lymphoma, according to the Associated Press.

Oliver published more than fifteen poetry and essay collections, focusing heavily on her love of and admiration for nature.

Among the honors they earned her were the Pulitzer in 1984 for American Primitive, the National Book Award in 1992 for New and Selected Poems, and the Lannan Literary Award for lifetime achievement in 1998, according to the AP.
