Cat in bookstore captivates Icelanders

The internet’s obsession with cats knows no geographic boundaries.

Nor, apparently, do felines’ affinity for books.

Last week, someone in a southwestern Icelandic city snapped a photo of a cat staring out from inside a closed bookstore and shared it in a Facebook group.

The post launched a huge amateur investigation, which ultimately concluded that while it may reflect poorly on the store’s security, it’s at least a well-known local cat who also patronizes a nearby pet-supply store.
