Ah, adolescence — the time many of us would prefer never to return to.

Fortunately, we can tour it at a safe distance through fiction, like Ben Philippe’s new novel, The Field Guide to the North American Teenager.

He and All Things Considered’s Audie Cornish have a rueful, nostalgic look back at all the anxieties and stress of that time by discussing Philippe’s protagonist, high-schooler Norris Kaplan.
