Your Monday motivation comes from two nonagenarians.
First up is entertainment-industry legend Carl Reiner, age ninety-six, who has turned his artistic energy toward books.
NPR’s Susan Stamberg interviewed him about his latest one, Approaching Ninety-Six: The Films I Love Viewing And Loved Doing (1951-2017), as well as other moments from his long career as a comedian, writer, actor, director, and producer.
And next we have another ninety-six-year-old: Eugenia Lovett West, who was first published in 1979 but turned to self-publishing on a lark in 2004.
When her friends and family loved her work, West decided to enter a contest, and to her surprise, she won — and broke her streak of publishing rejection letters.
She shares her experiences and insights into the craft with Writer’s Digest.
