The cliched image of a writer — which many embrace — is that of a solitary figure, scratching or tapping away with perhaps only a cat or dog to keep them company.

But why should that be? Look at most offices, and you’ll find at least a few people working together and supporting each other.

That same cooperation and camaraderie did wonders for author MK Rainey, both professionally and psychologically, that she has written a call for the reclusive writers of the world to consider opening up.
