Director Woody Allen has been shopping a memoir, but four major publishing houses have all passed on it, according to the New York Times.

The executives, who wouldn’t go on the record, acknowledged that concern about negative publicity influenced their decision not to pick up Allen's memoir.

Some of them didn’t even read the manuscript, the Times reports.

Allen’s fame has been greatly tarnished in recent years, after his daughter Dylan Farrow publicly accused him of molesting her when she was a child.
