Debating whether to preorder Michael Wolff’s Siege: Trump Under Fire?
Probably not — as NPR’s Ron Elving notes in the first paragraphs of his review of that book, very few people haven’t made their minds up about Donald Trump.
And Siege is unlikely to sway those rarities, he adds.
The book’s revelations and observations are a mixed bag, some verifiable or corroborated by public information, others from unnamed sources.
Those hoping for an exposé on Trump will thus find it; his defenders are likely to doubt its veracity, pointing to one particularly prominent example.
In the chapter on Robert Mueller’s special investigation, Wolff claims that there was a draft version of a three-count criminal indictment against Trump; however, the Office of Special Counsel has publicly refuted that.
