A British author will be donating more than 7,000 copies of her cookbook to food banks, thanks to the generosity of GoFundMe donors.

Tin Can Cook by Jack Monroe is a collection of seventy-five recipes that can be made with pantry staple ingredients — think Carrot Cake Overnight Oats.

Monroe is no stranger to food insecurity, having lived in what she called extreme poverty for two years and relying on a food bank to tide her over, according to the Guardian.

Her fundraising drive to support the cookbook has had a lovely ripple effect, too.

Her publisher is also handing out 50,000 recipe cards from the book to food banks around the country, and Heinz has donated £10,000 (about $12,600) to the Trussell Trust, a major food bank charity in the United Kingdom, after seeing the fundraising campaign.
