Judith Krantz, whom the New York Times calls “the international queen of poolside reading,” died over the weekend.

Krantz passed away at her home on Saturday at the age of ninety-one.

According to her obituary, the bestselling author’s ten novels have sold more than 85 million copies in more than 50 languages — and, perhaps even more notably, established a clear niche market of sex-and-shopping fiction.
