Kristine Kathryn Rusch has come back from the 2019 Licensing Expo and, more importantly, has begun to unpack what she saw and learned there.

After the first day, the biggest epiphany was that most writers (herself included) have been approaching the post-Kindle business world wrong.

How? Authors are critically limiting themselves by believing they’re in the publishing industry.

In fact, Rusch says, they need to realize they’re part of the entertainment industry.
