Michael Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer novels are hitting the screen once again.

Variety reported Tuesday that CBS has optioned the bestselling legal series, with David E. Kelley set to write and executive produce.

The first book in the series, which came out in 2006, was adapted into a movie in 2011, with Matthew McConaughey playing Mickey Haller.

ABC had expressed interest in developing the novels into a TV show after the film, but nothing ever came of it.

Also coming to the small screen: All Creatures Great and Small, based on the beloved series by James Herriot.

MASTERPIECE on PBS will co-produce the show, which follows the adventures of a young country veterinarian in England’s Yorkshire Dales.

You can read more about plans for the show and reminisce about the book series in PBS’s news release.
