Audible is adding captions to audiobooks

Audiobooks aren’t for everyone, but some of the turnoffs for the visually inclined can actually be resolved.

Case in point: Nate at The Digital Reader cringes at how words in science fiction and fantasy can become mangled or hard to understand.

He was glad to hear, then, that Audible should release a fix for this issue later this summer.

It’s developing a feature called Audible Captions that (duh) adds text captions to audiobooks — so you can glance over at any time to figure out what you just heard.
