If you’re looking for an e-reader for a young bookworm, Amazon certainly has options for you.

The company unveiled its Fire HD 10 tablet (which the Digital Reader seems quite excited about) and, with it, a Kids Edition Fire HD 10.

What makes it a children’s version? Well, of course, a colorful case, but also a free one-year subscription to Amazon’s FreeTime Unlimited content, which includes books, videos, and apps, and a two-year worry-free guarantee.

A slightly less expensive option ($109.99 versus $199) is Amazon’s new Kindle Kids Edition, also announced Monday.

It, like the children’s version of the tablet, comes with colorful cases, a two-year guarantee, and a year’s worth of FreeTime.

And if you’re buying two of either device, you can save some money on a bulk discount — though for what it's worth, the Digital Reader breaks down how even a single Kindle Kids Edition is a decent deal.
