The relationship between parents and their children can often be complicated.

Adrienne Brodeur’s tale, though, takes that description to a different level.

Her new memoir, Wild Game: My Mother, Her Lover, And Me, addresses (among other topics) how her mother had an extramarital affair while Brodeur was a teen ... and asked her to help hide it.

She discusses Wild Game with NPR’s Mary Louise Kelly in an interview that you can read or listen to below.
