Coverage of Olga Tokarczuk’s various literary awards often includes information about her English translator, Jennifer Croft.

And rightly so — translating literature is an incredibly complex task that requires far more than technical knowledge of a language.

Croft can not only do that between Polish and English, obviously, but also between Ukrainian and English and Argentine Spanish and English.

Croft shared insight into her translation work and previews Homesick in a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times.
