The New York Public Library has just purchased over 150 Virginia Woolf-related items to add to its Berg Collection of English and American Literature.

Among those items: a “mock proclamation” of the author’s wedding, sent to her sister, Vanessa; eight letters from her husband and sister regarding Woolf’s disappearance and suicide; Woolf’s passport; photographs; and signed first editions of her books.

Carolyn Vega, the curator at the Berg, told the New York Times that not all of the letters and photographs have been previously published.
