Peek into the world's first poetry pharmacy

Early this year, we reported on a British woman opening a “poetry pharmacy.”

Now that poet Deborah Alma’s shop in Bishops Castle, England, has been up and running for a while, SkyNews checked in with her.

You can see pictures of the world's first poetry pharmacy and read the proprietor's take on poetry’s beneficial effect, though the reporter didn’t speak with any patients.

That said, the World Health Organization isn’t pooh-poohing Alma’s beliefs — it released a report in November that identified “a major role for the arts in the prevention of ill health, promotion of health, and management and treatment of illness across the lifespan.”
