Author Philip Pullman: Brexit coin is missing a comma

Brexit has inspired many a debate in the years since it was proposed.

This one, while less significant in the grand scheme of things, might be the one that inspires the most passion across the pond in addition to riling up folks at home.

The question: Should there have been another comma in the slogan etched on the commemorative fifty-pence coin?

Philip Pullman, author of the beloved His Dark Materials trilogy, certainly thinks so.

“The ‘Brexit’ 50p coin is missing an Oxford comma, and should be boycotted by all literate people,” he tweeted, according to the Guardian.

(The text in question reads: "Peace, prosperity and friendship with all nations.")
