Forget a security system — what bookstores apparently need to catch burglars is a bottle (or two) of booze.

The Guardian reports that two thieves not only broke into a charity collection jar at Gay’s the Word, but they also broke into the store’s liquor supplies.

They polished off a bottle of tequila left at the London bookshop after a staff party, then were indulging in some prosecco when police — tipped off by a neighbor who saw the initial entry — arrived.
