Last spring, the New York Times reported that publishers were declining to take on a new Woody Allen memoir, thanks to the #MeToo movement.

As it turns out, one had actually already decided to do so: Grand Central Publishing revealed today that it will publish Apropos of Nothing on April 7; the division of Hachette Book Group had signed Allen last March, according to the Associated Press.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker and comedian has seen his career stall since his daughter Dylan Farrow accused him of molesting her when she was a child.

Allen has denied the allegations, and no charges have been filed.

A Grand Central spokesperson said Allen would do interviews for the book, which will be “a comprehensive account of his life, both personal and professional” that “describes his work in films, theater, television, nightclubs, and print.”
