David Lagercrantz is stepping away from Lisbeth Salander and toward Sherlock Holmes.

Lagercrantz, who has continued the Millennium series after author Stieg Larsson’s death, just sold a new trilogy to publishers, reports The Bookseller.

The series is described as a “modern Sherlock Holmes saga,” with a young police officer from a tough background and an older professor with expertise in psychopathy and interrogational techniques.

We’ll have to wait until August or September 2021 to see the first book in the Rekke trilogy, however.
