Susan DeFreitas, an award-winning author, editor, and book coach, has shared the second installment of a seven-part series on developing a writing practice.

She took inspiration from a book called Stick with It: A Scientifically Proven Process for Changing Your Life—For Good and is adapting it to benefit authors, specifically.

Today, fittingly, DeFreitas discusses the benefits that a writing community (virtual or otherwise) can have on your own work.

It isn’t so much about the actual critiques and praise they offer, but more about the accountability that a group provides.

Read more in DeFreitas's post on Jane Friedman’s blog.
