Susan DeFreitas, an award-winning author, editor, and book coach, has shared the final installment of a seven-part series on developing a writing practice.

She took inspiration from a book called Stick with It: A Scientifically Proven Process for Changing Your Life—For Good and is adapting it to benefit authors, specifically.

The last step is to ingrain (or engrain, to suit the acronym of SCIENCE) the urge into your brain.

DeFreitas says this may sound simple, but that a few extra considerations can make the process of establishing your writing practice into a habit much easier — and long-lasting.
