Even in the best of times, all of us have a few fears and anxieties — some rational, some irrational.

Journalist Eva Holland is no exception, yet as NPR’s Noel King points out, she makes her living in some pretty scary situations. (Right now, for example, she's living in the cold, remote, wildlife-packed Yukon territory of Canada.)

That’s a purposeful decision, and Holland shares a glimpse into why she does it and how she feels during it.

She does this not just in her interview but also in an entire book, called Nerve: Adventures In The Science Of Fear.

See what Holland had to say about fear and how it relates to her job and her book in the interview, which you can read on the NPR website or listen to below.
