A new literary rights group has picked up the estates of some significant classic authors.

The Hollywood Reporter says that International Literary Properties now owns rights to the estates of twelve authors, including Georges Simenon and Evelyn Waugh.

Simenon is among the most widely published authors of the twentieth century, releasing over eighty books starring Inspector Maigret and 130-plus other psychological novels.

Waugh, one of the most celebrated satirists of his day, is best known for the novel Brideshead Revisited.

So watch out for TV and film adaptation of their works, along with those of Eric Ambler, Margery Allingham, Edmund Crispin, Dennis Wheatley, Robert Bolt, Richard Hull, George Bellairs, Nicolas Freeling, John Creasey, and Michael Innes.
