Fussy employees live in Iowa, which as an agriculture state has seen its fair share of conversations about how to safely feed the ever-growing world.

So we were very interested to see that the New York Times has an excerpt of Billion Dollar Burger by Chase Purdy.

The book explores scientists’ quest to create lab-grown meat and successfully market it.

It’s certainly a controversial topic for certain people, but if you’re nervous about a morality debate, NPR’s reviewer felt that Purdy kept the story lively without anointing heroes or excoriating villains.
